Christine Sciortino | Writer/Director

Christine Sciortino is a visual storyteller raised in Chicago. She directed and produced theater before moving to New York to study Film, Costume Design and Gender Studies at New York University. She broke into the film world as a costume designer and makeup artist while continuing to write her own screenplays and short stories. Having worn many hats in the arenas of film and theater, Christine is now emerging as a writer and director with a strong vision and a passionate commitment to women's rights.

Maddie  Shapiro | ​Producer

Maddie is a freelance film producer and writer working in New York City. She is a graduate of Columbia University's MFA Film Program for Creative Producing. In 2013 she received the Arthur Krim Memorial Award for Outstanding Producer and was ranked top of her class. 

Maddie recently wrapped production on her second feature film, Catfight, written and directed by Onur Tukel (Summer of Blood, Applesauce) and stars Sandra Oh (Grey's Anatomy), Anne Heche (Six Days, Seven Nights), and Alicia Silverstone (Clueless). Her first feature, Good Bones, was shot in East Hampton during the summer of 2014 on an ultra-low budget and included over 20 locations and 30 speaking roles. For a year and a half Maddie worked at Cine Mosaic with producer, Lydia Dean Pilcher, marketing and developing film projects including The Sisterhood of Night and the Disney film Queen of Katwe starring David Oyelowo and Lupita Nyong'o. Maddie has produced over two dozen short films that have gone on to play at film festivals across the country.

Alfredo Alcántara | Cinematographer

Alfredo Alcántara is a Mexican cinematographer based in Brooklyn, New York. His camerawork is featured in the award-winning documentary “American Promise” (Sundance Film Festival, Jury Award 2013). In 2014, he produced and co-directed “Duke and the Buffalo”, an Official Selection short documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival. That same year, he shot and directed "El Porvenir", an Official Selection short documentary at SXSW. He recently finished shooting an upcoming History Channel digital series about conservation ranching in Colorado set to air in the fall of 2016.

Efe Tufan | Post-Production Sound Supervisor/Composer

Efe Tufan is a native of Turkey, and currently living in Chicago, he got his BA in Audio Arts and Acoustics, with an Audio for Visual Media concentration. He has been involved in various audio related positions such as location sound recording for film, foley recording, ADR, sound editing, sound mixing and composition. He is also trained in classical music and plays the flute. He also has a background in Computer Science and merging these two interests, he is currently working on Interactive Media Studies such as Sound Design for Games and Web Series.

​Philip Marx | Composer

Philip Marx  is a Chicago-based guitarist and composer who originally hails from the small duchy of Luxembourg.  He is classically trained in guitar with a diverse range of influences, ranging from folk to latin jazz and progressive rock.  He is also a lover of all things cinema and is combining his passions in scoring Paper Crane.  By day he is a PhD student in economics.  ​
